Concept Note:
"Despair and Hope" uses vibrant patches of red, yellow and blue fabric to tell a powerful story of stark contrasts. It aims to shed light on the lives of farmers and the tragic reality of an increasing number of suicides all while juxtaposing sadness with optimism.
At its core this artwork explores the spirit of humanity. The colours red, yellow and blue symbolise the dedication, resilience and strength shown by farmers who face challenges every day. These colours represent their vitality, perseverance and deep connection to the land.
